Aleppo: Church of Saint Simeon Stylites

Simeon died in the year 459. He was 71 and had been standing on top of a pillar, 18 meters tall since 421. There he performed strange exercises, as bending head towards his toes while praying. That's a way to become a saint. But I presume: No saint has ever got pleasure out of his title.
