Roma: Chiesa Valdese

Wikipedia: Waldensians, named after founder Peter Waldo, advocated an adherence to the Gospel that led to conflicts with the Roman Catholic Church. By 1215, the Waldensians were declared heretical and subject to persecution.
During the Protestant Reformation, Waldensian leaders joined the Reformed church. Thus the movement adopted many of the Calvinist tenets and became a Protestant denomination.
