One of the passengers, a mother of a two years old girl
and a baby of six months demonstrates her poverty by showing us her empty purse.
When she pays for the ride, she picks up the money from her breast pocket. Our
travelling fellow, the little teddy bear, is tied to the back pack. She loosens
it for her daughter to play with. Sweet little child with sparkling almond
shaped eyes. When they
are ready to leave, the mother puts the bear into her bag. She probably thinks
that western people, who possess so much, wouldn't take a teddy bear from a
child. We don't speak the same language so how could she ask? But we've still got
the teddy bear. |
